WHEN, WHERE & HOW DOES BLAIR CREW PRACTICE?
Fall water practice usually begins the week prior to the first day of school for Montgomery County Public Schools at the end of August and the spring season starts in March. Water practices involve rowing in boats of 4 or 8 rowers at Bladensburg Waterfront Park on the Anacostia River on weekdays and Saturdays. Winter strength and endurance training (off the water) runs December through February. Prospective rowers are invited to try a practice free. We have a team of professional coaches who are certified by USRowing and SafeSport.
Blair Crew is an inclusive, welcoming team. We are a group that is serious about competing, while also having fun. If you are hesitant about getting involved because of the cost, please contact us to request assistance.
WHERE DO WE COMPETE?
Blair Crew competes in local and national regattas that vary from year to year and have included:
• Washington Metro Interscholastic Championships • Stotesbury Cup • SRAA National Championships
