Novice regatta this weekend (5/7)

Dear Blair Crew Parents and Rowers,
Thank you parents for your help and donations in Chestertown! This weekend is a NOVICE-ONLY regatta at Thompson’s Boat Center in Georgetown. Varsity Parents, encourage your rowers to go to Georgetown and cheer the Novices on! We’re waiting on details about time and racing, but wanted to put some basic information so you can plan your weekend. Right now the forecast on Saturday calls for 50% chance of rain with highs in the low 70s.

Food and Drink:

Every rower or family needs to volunteer and should be donating some food or drink item. Because of the early heat and fairly early finals, we are focusing primarily on breakfast. If you are interested in lunch you may bring your own. Also, there are a lot of really good restaurants nearby. If you are having any trouble with Signup Genius, contact me directly. Click on this link to identify your generous donation and volunteer opportunities on the signup genius website

Directions and Parking:

Parking is pretty bad in Georgetown so pay attention to the TBC suggestions on where to park. (You might have luck down Virgina Ave and towards George Washington Univ instead of in Georgetown proper)

The boats will be in the Thompson’s parking lot. Rowers need to go there and start taking boats off and rigging them.
